Psalm 23 - The Lord is my shepherd.  / Jeane
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
For his name's sake.
Even though I walk
Through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
For you are with me;
Your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
In the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me
All the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

For Jill  / Jeane Trend-Hill (Godmother)  Read >>
For Jill  / Jeane Trend-Hill (Godmother)
Don’t think of her as gone away
Her journey’s just begun.
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting,
From the sorrow and the tears.
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can easily pass away.
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched.
For nothing loved is ever lost
And she was loved so much.

Jill / IAN JULIAN (Friend of Jeane )  Read >>
Jill / IAN JULIAN (Friend of Jeane )
As someone who has lost all his family, including both of my sisters cruelly and at a young age, I fail to make sense of any meaning, but can only sympathise with all those so affected.   Those that die young always seem to be the most courageous, cheerful and an example to us all with our everyday moans. Child of Mine  / Jeane   Read >>
Child of Mine  / Jeane
"I'll lend to you for a little time
a child of Mine" he said,
"For you to love her while she lives
and mourn for when she’s dead”.
It may be six or seven years,
or twenty-two or three:
but will you, 'til I call her back,
take care of her for me?
She’ll bring her charms to gladden you
and should her stay be brief,
you'll have her loving memories
as solace for your grief.

I can’t not promise she will stay,
since all from earth return,
but there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn,
I've looked the wide world over
in my search for teachers true
and from all the throngs that crowd
life's lanes I have selected you.
Now will you give her all your love,
not think the labour vain,
nor hate me when I come to call
to take her back again?"

I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, thy will be done”.
For all the joy this child shall bring,
the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness.
We'll love her while we may,
and for the happiness we've known,
forever grateful stay;
But should the angels call for her
sooner than we've planned
We'll brave the bitter grief
that comes and try to understand."

Art School / Caroline Breen (Co student)  Read >>
Art School / Caroline Breen (Co student)
I never knew Jill as well as I should have,  We went to college and University together, some aspects of University were a real stuggle for me and some days I would come in to the art studio in a terrible mood, but on these days i would inevitably encounter Jill and her hello and big grin always made me feel so much better. Jill's art work was and still is visually beautiful delicate and painful.
One of the things that always amazed me about Jill was that she was always approachable, smiling and laughing.

Love, Caroline x

Please Talk About Her / Jeane
Please talk about her
Talk about her lovely smile
Share your memories of her
Share your sadness that she has gone
Ask me what I loved about her
Tell me what you loved about her
Tell me what she brought to your life
Tell me you will miss her
Say she was beautiful
Say you loved her
But please don't tell me there is nothing you can say

With thanks  / Jeane (Godmother and Cousin )
My heartfelt thanks to all the nursing staff and doctors at Great Ormond Street, the Brompton and Harefield hospitals who looked after Jill. To the parents who lost a child in order to give Jill the gift of new lungs, my thoughts and prayers are with you. To Amelia and Timothy who lost a wonderful sister - please remember the good times. To Alan, my sincere condolences and to Kate, you were the best mum in the world to Jill. Never ever forget that. God bless.
